MAIL-IN APPLICATIONS

Please allow at least three (3) weeks for processing and transit time for mail-in applications.

Children

Non-immigrant visa applications for children under the age of 14 may be submitted by mail; a personal appearance is not required.  To apply for children, complete and print the on-line application form (NIV Appointment System).  Enclose the following items in a courier service package addressed to the Consular Section (see contact information at http://bridgetown.usembassy.gov/visas_to_us.html):

  1. The completed on-line DS-156 form.
  2. One (1) color photograph of the child (50mm x 50 mm).
  3. The child’s birth certificate.
  4. The child’s passport with at least one blank page, valid through the time period of the proposed stay in the US. 
  5. Any previous passports issued to the child containing US visas.
  6. Parents or legal guardians should also send their own passports and documentation of family income.
  7. The nonrefundable USD131 or BBD265 Machine Readable Visa (MRV) application fee in cash or bank cheque made out to the American Embassy.
  8. Pre-paid airway bill and courier pack for return of the documents.

Applicants 80 Years of Age of Older

Non-immigrant visa applicants 80 years of age or older may mail in their applications; a personal appearance is not required.  To apply, complete and print the on-line application form. Enclose the following items in a courier service package addressed to the Consular Section (see contact information at http://bridgetown.usembassy.gov/visas_to_us.html):

  1. The completed on-line DS-156 form.
  2. One (1) color photograph of the applicant (50mm x 50 mm).
  3. The applicant’s passport with at least one blank page, valid through the time period of the proposed stay in the US. 
  4. Any previous passports issued to the applicant containing US visas.
  5. Evidence of the applicant’s financial solvency, such as proof of income/assets.
  6. The nonrefundable USD131 or BBD265 Machine Readable Visa (MRV) application fee in cash or bank cheque made out to the American Embassy.
  7. Pre-paid airway bill and courier pack for return of the documents.
